This is an educational program open to all CSHA members. Participants compete at the Region level, with the
Region winners competing for the title of State Champion and a scholarship.
There are 3 phases/tests to the competition:
Grooming and Handling test;
Written test (handbook available through CSHA State office)
Riding test.
The riding disciplines are: Combined (English I and Western); English I (jumping max 3 ft.), English II (flat only);
Gymkhana (barrels and poles); Western (Stock Seat Equitation)
Members of clubs belonging to CSHA are eligible to compete!
Practice day, July 5th, 2009, 2:30pm to 4:30 pm at The Lopez Ranch in Winters.
Written test to be held July 29th, 2009.
Grooming and riding test date TBA.
